• 7th/8th Grade Concert Band Home Page

This is going to be a great year for this year's WMS Concert Band.  The Concert Band is comprised of 7th and 8th Grade Band students that have graduated one year in the 6th grade band training classes.  These band students will continue learning and enhancing their instrumental abilities through working on proper technique and boosting their sound quality.

Here's a few performances the 7th and 8th graders will be gearing up for this year:
    • Pep Band Performances
    • Christmas Concert
    • UIL Concert and Sight-reading
    • Spring Band Concert
    • and many more!
For incoming 7th graders, make sure to know that there will be much more performing for audiences this year compared to when you were a 6th grader.  This is the meat and potatoes of band and why many of us enter the performing arts to begin with.  Embrace these opportunities and let's look forward to a fantastic year for the Whitney Middle School Concert Band.
