Sixth Grade ELAR

Degrees and Certifications:

Sixth Grade ELAR

Welcome to 6th Grade ELAR!

I am excited to have your student in my class this year.  We have made some changes from last year. Instead of a Technology class, your student will have a separate writing class and I am their teacher.  Most of our work will happen on the computer but for those that have a attention problem, their work might occur on the desk in the middle of each column in my classroom.

Since most middle school students do not like to converse with their parents about school, I have signed up with Remind (instructions are found back).  Please join this site and I will send you information about upcoming events or assignments. You will also find my email and conference information on my website.  Just open Whitney ISD, then select Middle School and then Faculty.

This is the first year that we have had nine classes each day.  That means the bell schedule can be tricky. On my board (near my desk) and on my website, you can get a copy of the bell schedule.  I know as a parent, I would always want to know what class I was pulling my kid from to visit the dentist. So these schedules should help you with that issue.

Please feel free to contact me for any questions and let’s have a great year!
